Technology Free Evenings 

Hey Everyone! 

For the last several months I had issues with waking up tired in the morning, even when I got 7 – 8 hours of sleep. Part of that is the days getting shorter, but then I got thinking that maybe the problem could be related to be using my computer and phone right up until I got to bed each night. 

I have heard and read about technology messing with our circadian rhythms, which controls our sleep / wake schedules. I am no expert or even a scientist but just from my own experience, there is truth behind these studies. 

This week I have been trying to be off my computer by 8 pm, and only use my phone for the white noise app after 8 pm. After 8, I have been reading a book until I go to bed, and the couple of nights I have been doing this, it has been easier to get up in the morning. 

This winter, my allergies have also been worse than in years past, and I picked up some of the allergy meds that work for me, and that has also been helping. 

Between readingbto help me wind down in the evening and dealing with my allergies has definitely helped me be able to function and feeling better. 

I have missed spending time with my nose in a book, and I am glad I am spending less time wasting my time on computer games and more times reading books. I am currently rereading Outlander (The first book of the Outlander Series), before moving on to the second book.

Doing what’s best for Me

Hey Everyone! 

During the past few weeks, I have had a tough time sticking with ItWorks, especially when the products don’t work for me, and the fact that I had been at it for almost 6 months and I really wasn’t growing. It became more time consuming and not really worth the effort. I also wasn’t thrilled to be pushing products that I couldn’t personally endorse for various reasons. I am not saying that it’s a scam, but it just wasn’t for me. Due to my food intolerances and sensitivities, some of the products irritated my system and set it off. I am still a distributor if anyone wants anything, I am just not actively promoting the products. 

I had joined Scentsy as a consultant last month, beings that I had been a customer for a year prior to joining, and actually loved the products prior to joining. I joined solely because I love the products. The money I earn is just an added bonus, I would be buying the products anyway. 

Lately I have also been learning about essential oils, and the power they have to help your body, I figure I might as well give them a try, especially the blends to help your immune system and that help with allergies and that kind of thing. 

Taking care of myself and being the best I can be has been at the top of my list of things I need to do for a while, I am finally doing it, and pursuing what I am passionate about. 

ItWorks 2 week update 

Hey Everyone! 

This week marks two weeks of using ItWorks berry flavored Greens on the go and greens chews. I have also been using the advanced formula fat fighters for a week now. I also got my hair skin and nails, which I have been using for five days. 

Here are the measurement changes from last week, and the week before: 

Weight: I gained 0.8 lbs. so I have gained 1.8 pounds in 2 weeks. That is nuts. Now it is time to figure out why I am gaining weight when I should be losing it, and change up how I am doing things. 

Waist: stayed the same from last week which is still down an inch from the previous week. 

Hips: down an inch and a half from last week, making a total of two inches lost since I started. 

Love handles: down half an inch from last week, making for a total of 2.5 inches lost. 

Band size and chest have stayed the same both weeks

Thighs: down 1 inch this week making for a total of two inches lost. 

How I have felt this past week:

For the most part I have felt great. Over the weekend and Monday my body was still getting using to the combination of what I am using so i was a little off, but not too bad. I am feeling fine now. 

This morning I woke up completely exhausted, and felt like I am getting sick. This whole day light savings time thing is seriously messing with me. 

My appetite has been less than it was, which is insane. I haven’t had an allergy headache in two weeks. For the most part I have been sleeping better. 

I am still getting used to how much water I am needing to drink, it is hard at times to drink water when I am not really thirsty.
