The Why I love Perfectly Posh Products

Hey Everyone!

I will be straight up honest with you all, I am a Perfectly Posh independent consultant, but that is not why I am writing this post.

The whole reason I became a Posh consultant was because the products worked for me. That fact in and of itself is worth every penny I spend on my own products. When I was first introduced to Perfectly Posh, I was a complete skeptic. I had been over at my friends house, helping her sister watch her 3 little boys that morning as she had had to go into work for a meeting before going back to work the following Monday at the end of her maternity leave with her youngest. After she had returned home, she, here sister and I were just hanging out and her sister had brought Posh over (either that she had purchased or borrowed from the sister who’s house we were at), and I was curious so they let me smell the products. A few months later I was having some issues with my face breaking out, and out of curiosity been looking around my friends Posh site, when I found the smashing good pumpkins and decided to give it a try. To say the least, it worked. I started trying more things, and was hooked. Because it was working for my skin, when everything else I had tried had not worked, I was sold.

After a few months of purchasing products and liking pretty much everything I have tried (I think there is only one or two of the many I have tried that weren’t for me, which doesn’t mean it’s a bad product, because it would work for someone else) I have liked and has worked well for me.

The whole reason I became a consultant was to earn commission back on the products I use and want to try. I have done other Direct Sales stuff, and had the products affect my health in a negative manner.

Rarely do I advocate products I use, and I am not the kind of person to advocate products for the sake of earning money.

November Scentsy & Perfectly Posh additions

Hey Everyone!

This past week, my Scentsy and Perfectly Posh orders were delivered.

This month from Scentsy, I had ordered a Morning Sunrise Nightlight, which is simple and beautiful, as well as three bars of Lavender and White Balsam, which smells amazing. Lavender and White Balsam is definitely a very wintery scent that is not super overpowering or strong which I like. I had pulled the Morning Subrise warmer out of the box and put it together and turned it on long enough to see what it looked like on, and I love it. It will be perfect in a hallway or bathroom at night, it is bright enough to light the way and see what you are doing without being too bright. I also really like the design. While I am a consultant, I am a customer first and foremost. I won’t buy a warmer unless I like it, and even then, I have to really like it since I have had a year to be building my warmer stash up. I am also picky about fragrances.

One thing I have learned about being a consultant, that I am glad I am learning now, when I am still new and have a small customer base it to have stock on hand, especially new/seasonal scents. As well as learning what my loyal local customers like, and keep some bars of each on hand. I got into Scentsy because I have always liked candles and the glade wall plug ins, but wanted something that was less of a fire hazard, non – aerosol, and made out of better ingredients and better scents.

This month I also ordered some perfectly posh products. I had ordered 3 fall out girl chunks, 2 gender Bender chunks, 1 rolling in the deep chunk,  2 dressed to chill big fat yummy hand cremes, 3 Orange cara mellow caffeinated lip balms, a pack of Blissed Out scrub samples and a pack of Vitamin Sea shampoo and Off Shore Restore conditioner samples. I am working on building up my stash of samples for customers and potential customers to try the products and see what they think of it. One thing I found out that I am bummed about is that the Blissed out scrub has non fat dry milk in it, which means I won’t be using it as I avoid touching anything with dairy in it, and if I have to handle dairy I wash my hands like a crazy person so I don’t absent-mindedly  put something in my mouth that has contaminated with dairy. I am bummed because this was one of my favorite scents – it smells like sprite or 7 up.

As many of you know, I was introduced to Perfectly Posh by a friend of mine, and decided to try the smashing good pumpkin clay mask a few months later. I was hooked. The fact that Posh prides itself on using more natural ingredients is amazing! I have noticed such a difference with my skin. Using the BFF face cleanser then following that with a mask then using the Night & Day moisturizer or Apricots Overnight to moisturize has really helped my skin.

No more Sodium Tallowate

So what is Sodium Tallowate anyway?

It was just today that I learned that Sodium Tallowate is Lard (animal fat), and I am like, Really? It’s the 21st century and soap manufacturers are still using Lard in their products?

I am appalled by the fact that Lard, as well as other synthetic products are so commonly used in everything from food to skin care products.

Ingredients are so important, not only in what we eat but also in what we use on our bodies. There have been studies linking specific ingredients to different diseases. If I am knowingly able to reduces my risk of specific preventable diseases, by changing the products I use, I will do it.

August Posh Haul

Hey Everyone!

I will get to my August Perfectly Posh Haul shortly. I just wanted to take a couple minutes to talk about the recent blog title changes and such that my blog is going through. When I had renamed it to Portlandia Life, I was definitely in a mindset of not wanting to leave Portland, due to somethings I had going on. I have resolved that and I am back to wanting to move and travel and pretty much take this show on the road so to speak. I will still great miss my friends and my friends 3 little boys.

Now that my goals, dreams and such are back on track with what I had wanted in the first place I wanted this blog to reflect that. My main purpose is to share my experience of trying to live a healthier, more natural lifestyle wherever I am living. Right now that happens to be Portland, which has an abundance of my kind of food, and where the lifestyle I have is definitely tolerated/accepted a lot better than in other parts of the country that are more conservative.

So back to my perfectly posh haul. I have come to love these products and the company. I am now seriously trying to find the products I love and get set for winter, as that is the hardest on my skin. Trying to stay healthy and keep my skin for becoming dry and cracked are two of my main concerns which I am working on dealing with now.

In this box was a tube of the vitamin sea shampoo, the immunator skin stick, a one smart cookie caffeinated lip balm, a rehab solid lotion bar, apricots overnight moisturizing mask, the BFF exfoliating face wash, the snowed in sugar lip scrub, the tranquilizer snarky bar, an all fall down and dressed to chill big fat yummy hand creme. Not pictures is the MFEO (Mint for each other) chunk and the sister I’m a poet big fat yummy hand creme).

When you Find a skin care line you love

Hey Everyone!

I have finally found a line of Skin Care products that I live and actually works for me.

A few months ago I was over at my friend’s house, as her sister and I had watched her boys for a bit while she had to work. After she had come home, she and her sister were talking about Perfectly Posh, and a few months later I ordered my first perfectly posh products. Since then I have been building my  accumulation of Posh Products.

Above, I have shown all the full size items I have either bought, been given or got as a sample.

Items shown above:

•Smashing Good Pumpkin anti acne face and body clay

•BFF (Best Face Forever) Facewash

•Hairy Beast Shave Gel

•Daily Grind Snarky Bar

•It’s Da Bee’s Knees body scrub

•Love The Dark Black Sea salt body scrub

•Whole Lava Love volcanic ash face exfoliator

•Amaaazing big fat yummy hand creme

•I scream for ice cream big fat yummy hand creme

There are so few skin care products that are as natural based as posh products. I have also spent years trying to find products that actually work on my combo/oily skin and deal with drying without over drying my skin.

I have spent the last couple months dealing with my skin breaking out, and Posh totally cleared up my skin. Everyone’s experience with the products will be different, Perfectly Posh works for me, and they have a great selection of products.

If you want to order and try any of the products, feel free to order.  You can find my Friend’s Posh Site Here. She and I are also having a party going on, so if you order, be sure to select Erica’s Posh Party in the party drop down menu, and ship directly to you.
