About

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

My blog has been evolving over the past few years, to what I hope will be an interesting mix of Gluten Free/Dairy Free food, recipes, how I handle life with food intolerances, as well as homemaking and making healthy choices.

It may be a crazy combination, but I will be posting here about the food I make, products I have found works well for me that are Gluten and Dairy Free, as well as dealing with my weight, and body image. I will be including different things I do, along the lines of Homemaking (and “homesteading” if I ever get the chance to really get into it as much as I would like to). I really want to focus on the goings on of a home. I am also into Clean Eating, and using products that are more naturally based and derived. So there will be posts on those.

I am also fascinated by the 1950’s lifestyle as well as the early west (homesteading and small towns) where many women knew how to cook, bake, preserve food for the winter via canning it,  keep a house, have a garden, make garments for themselves and their family. I have made it a goal of mine to learn as much about what work these women really did, and incorporate as much of what they did, as I can into my own life.

The types of posts you will be seeing, will include (but are not limited to):

  • The Cookbooks I have and use
  • Recipes
  • The cleaning products I try, especially if I like it
  • Garden stuff (when I can have a garden of my own)
  • Canning/Preserving
  • Clean Eating
  • ItWorks/Beach Body product reviews (Have they helped me, progress reports while using the systems, etc)
