I have come to realize that this is the blog I spend the least amount of time on and seem to have the least amount of content for, but don’t worry I am not shutting it down. Rather I am expanding on it, in addition to Gluten Free & Dairy Free living I will also be blogging about homemaking stuff, natural cleaning products I will be trying and like, as well as homesteading stuff when I am able to get my own place and have a garden (and can have some chickens and other animals for food).
I definitely don’t consider myself to be a hippie or a hipster, or really a part of the whole crunchy granola, amity types. A lot of why I want to be able to live a lifestyle that includes homesteading, has more to do with the fact that I have food intolerances and our modern food that is genetically modified and has been changed so much in the past 65 years. I want to know where my food comes from and I have more control over what I put in my body. Here in the city, I am so much more reliant (by force) on grocery stores and who knows where some of the food comes from.
It also ties in with my love of history and learning from how they lived, but with the modern conveniences of electricity, indoor plumbing, refrigeration and gas stoves. Though I would love a wood burning stove for winter (for heating, and to make soup).
